 Fu-Kuan Hsiao obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Dept. of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University in 1998 and 2000, respectively.  He passed the national qualification examination for Professional Industrial Engineer in the field of Chemical Engineering in 1999, and received his license as a Patent Agent in 2005.  He also completed a legal course at National Taiwan University, School of Professional and Continuing Studies (2010).  After the Chinese government allowed Taiwanese nationals to participate in the Chinese patent bar examination, he passed the Chinese patent bar in 2013 and received his license as a China Patent Attorney in 2016.  He is familiar with China and Taiwan Patent Laws and practice as well.  Prior to practicing patent law, Fu-Kuan worked in Industrial Technology Research Institute as an associate researcher.  Fu-Kuan is the co-inventor of two TW patents and one US patent.

Fu-Kuan specializes in patent prosecution, patent drafting, patent search, patent cancellation, and infringement assessment in the technical fields related to chemistry/chemical engineering.  He also gave lectures on topics related to patentability and patent search in the Department of Biotechnology, the graduate school of National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan.
